14557, TSA-RE System at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment
Plant (AMWTP) For British Nuclear Fuels Corporation (BNFL
)- A Portable, heavy duty, Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyor
handling system for the processing of
stored
drums of hazardous materials at INEEL site at Idaho Falls,
Idaho. The drums, weighing 1200 lb each, have been stored
in bunkers and are now being analyzed for restoring or disposal
as needed. Due to the physical size of the site, at some
2000 feet long, the complete conveyor system was designed
as a portable system. The would shift the system approximately
300 feet at a time downstream as the bunker materials were
removed.

14559, WMF-634 System at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment
Plant Plant (AMWTP) For British Nuclear Fuels Corporation
(BNFL )- A heavy duty Chain Driven Live Roller handling
system for the processing of stored drums of hazardous materials
at INEEL site at Idaho Falls Idaho. The drums, weighing
1200 lb each have been stored in bunkers and are now being
analyzed for restoring or disposal as needed. The WMF-634
system is being used to accept drums generated in the TSA-RE
project from site haulers, accumulate the drums ahead of
analization and dispatch the analyzed drums on to the processing
area. A quarantine area is provided to hold specific drums
and reintroduce them into the strem at a later time.

Bechtel Incorporated for Chemical Waste Management
This
flexible handling system installed in Hong Kong's New Provinces
provided multiple lines for handling and classifying Chemical
Waste streams from the thousands of small "Mom &
Pop" origanizations around Victoria Harbor; waste streams
that formerly found their way into the harbor because there
was no realistic alternative. The 1994 Chemical Waste Handling
Facility, for which PSI provided classification and neutralization
equipment, equipped the city for disposal solutions well
into the new milineum. Pictures on the following pages provide
a glimpse of the various Acid, Alkaline and Organic Chemical
disposal equipment concepted, designed and furnished Production
Systems, Inc.
Multi
Segment System handles 20 liter and 200 liter containers
of varied chemical waste through chemical analysis, sortation
to disposal lanes, and dumping to process system as well
as the cleaning and returning to service of the containers.
Electrical system utilizes Honeywell Data Highway network.
PSI
designed, fabricated, tested in-house, shipped to China
and supervised the on-site installation of the complete
system. The attached Haz-Waste brochure gives a pictorial
review of the resulting project.
